Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19th 1965. She is an American producer and actress. Her most prominent role is that of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. In the final season of the show Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The show ended on August 13 on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also remembered for her recurring character as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), a speech teacher and educational/family therapy therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and has stated that she goes to Passover seders.
